Four years ago my life completely changed in the blink of an eye, my little sunshine was born.  I always thought parents sounded so clich’e when they would say “they grow up too fast”, but it’s not, they really do.  I sometimes wish I could stop time and just cradle him in my arms forever.  What I love abut Jayden most, is that he has the kindest heart, the silliest sense of humor, and can brighten up any room with his gleaming smile.  Jayden will always be my baby even though someday Jayden will look down at me and call me “mom” instead of mommy.  Someday he will give his heart to a special girl, but I know he will still have a special place for me.  And when that someday comes and Jayden has a child of his own, he will know how much I love him.

This past year my little guy has made me so proud by becoming more independent.  He played his first year of soccer, learned how to swim (he can dive to the bottom to grab a toy and swim across the entire pool), started his first year of preschool, and has become a big brother!  I was a little nervous about Jayden being jealous of little sister Livy, but he’s turned out to be the most loving and protective brother.

I did a Q&A with Jayden to remember all his favorite things at this age…

What’s your favorite color? Red, I love red.

Who’s your best friend? Colt is my best friend.  Oh, and mouse, I can’t forget mouse.

What’s your favorite food.  Tofu, rice, tuna, mac-n-cheese, popcorn and jelly sandwiches.

Your favorite drink? Mango smoothies, milk and juice.

Favorite ice cream? Vanilla

Favorite Yogurt? Vanilla with blueberries and bananas on top, please!

Favorite vegetable? Carrots!

Favorite fruit? Mangos and Apples.

Your favorite movie? Elf on the Shelf, Toy Story 3, Star Wars and Rio.

Favorite song? Everyday tonight and Justin Justin Bieber’s song baby, baby oh.

Favorite TV show? Max & Ruby, Dino Dan, Adventures, and Scooby Doo.

Favorite number? 3. I’m going to miss 3, mom.

Favorite sport? Basketball.  I’m really good at basketball.

Favorite toy? Bumble Bee and all my transformers.

Favorite bike? My quad.

Favorite places to go? Knots Berry Farm, Legoland and Disneyland

Favorite animal? Elephants

Favorite sea animal? Dolphins

Favorite Insect: Crickets

Favorite shirt?  My T-rex shirt.

Favorite shoes: My blue Toms.

Favorite thing to draw? The world and my family.

What do you want to be when you grow up?  A Firefighter, a Cowboy, a Astronaut, a Detective, and a Ring Master at the circus.

If you can go anywhere in the world, where would you want to go? Chinese.

Jayden my son, I love you bigger than the universe and your daddy and I are so proud of the little boy you have become. You make me smile a thousand times a day, you make me feel so loved with your great big hugs and kisses, and I love that you tell me you love me at the most random times.  Don’t ever forget that you are my sunshine.

Happy Birthday to my Mamma!   If you know us well, you would know that we are besties.  Oh yeah, we have the best mother and daughter relationship you can imagine!  Of course we disagree on the little things, but I gotta say I would be lost without my mamma.   We have to talk on the phone every morning, text each other at least 10 times a day, and we have to visit each other at least once a week.  Like I said, we are besties!

Mom, I love you for who you are because:  You keep it “real ” at all times.  You make me laugh.  You still call me poopsies.  And, you’re the one person I can count on whether it’s  something big or small.  Seriously, you are the epitome of the Best MOM/GRANDMA IN THE WORLD!   I know that you know how much I love you, but I just have the need to tell it to the world!  Or, the few people that actually read my blog for that matter.  Muah… I LOVE YOU!
